Overview:
C & S Processing are specialists in aerospace coatings
and carry out work for most of the major aerospace and
electronics companies in the UK. Coatings include stoving
finishes for avionics equipment, two pack solar heat reflecting
finishes and general epoxy & polyurethane finishes.
Standards:
We provide a range of standard specification coatings to
suit requirements including:
- BSX
33
- BSX
34A
- BSX
34B
- DEF
STAN 80 - 161
- DTD
5618
We also
undertake work to a range of other specifications and should
you have a particular requirement not detailed above then
we will source the paint for your requirements.
BSX
33:
Primer recommended for use as part of a long term corrosion
resistance scheme with BSX 34A, DEFSTAN 80 - 161
and DTD 5618 specification coatings.
BSX
34A:
Recommended finish for aircraft, avionics and other
environments where rigorous performance requirements
must be satisfied. Offers resistance to weathering
of the highest order even when the matt finish
is used, as well as resistance to fuels, lubricants,
pyrolysed lubricants, hydraulic fluids, salt water,
alkaline cleaning agents and detergents.

Masked and Painted Matt Black and Gloss
Yellow to BSX34A
DEF
STAN 80 - 161:
Suited for light alloys in the aviation industry, a
two pack epoxy paint scheme which produces a tough,
abrasion-resistant surface, capable of withstanding
contact with saline conditions, a range
of mineral synthetic ester lubricants as well as
offering heightened resistance to general chemicals.

Painted to DEF STAN 80 - 161 Eggshell with masking
DTD
5618:
Offers reflection of solar heat radiation in order to reduce
surface temperatures of electronic equipment thus
minimising the chance of malfunction. Also offers outstanding
resistance to chemical attack and a high level
of corrosion protection for light alloys used
in aircraft construction. The DTD 5618 scheme comprises
a two pack polyurethane finish applied over a two
pack epoxy primer and filler.
MIL-PRF-23377
Type 1 Class C2: Low VOC epoxy primer with excellent
corrosion resistance with good flexibility and chemical
resistance. Used in
conjunction with MIL-PRF-85285 Type 1 Class H or can
be used alone on internal unexposed areas.
MIL-PRF-85285
Type 1 Class H: Two pack polyurethane, for use on Military
aircraft, designed for maximum protection from various
chemicals,
hydraulic fluids, aviation fuels, and corrosion causing
media.
Airbus
AIMS 04-04-012: Three pack durable polyurethane finish
for interior and exterior environments. Highly resistant
to ultra-violet
radiation, weathering, aircraft hydraulic fluids and
chemicals.

Masked and Painted Gloss White to MIL-PRF-85285D Type
1 Class H
