Overview:
C & S provide an iron phosphate service primarily in
support of the paint systems offered but also as a one
off service where appropriate.
Iron
Phosphate:
Iron phosphate dip suitable for removing grease, oil, detergents,
soap and fine solids. The iron phosphate treatment
both degreases and forms a thin protective phosphate
conversion coating on steel, zinc and aluminium surfaces.
Phosphate coatings are usually 0.2 - 0.4 gram/m2 and
comply with DEF STAN 03-11/3 Class IV and BS3189 (1973)
Type 4. Iron phosphate also improves paint and powder
adhesion.
